Debate hosted by Arizona Citizens Clean Elections Commission to feature Republican Lt. Governor nominee
GILBERT, AZ— Republican nominee for Lt. Governor of Arizona Sine Kerr will take the debate stage tonight at 6pm Arizona time in the state’s first ever Lt. Governor debate, hosted by the Arizona Citizens Clean Elections Commission. The debate will feature Kerr, a dairy farmer and former State Senator from Buckeye, while Democrat Lt. Governor nominee John Giles did not have the courage to get on the debate stage and declined to participate.
Kerr will be sharing the campaign’s vision for Arizona, which was recently laid out in a 100 Days Press Conference that highlighted clear, specific policy actions an Andy Biggs and Sine Kerr Administration will take to support Arizonans. Katie Hobbs and John Giles have drawn recent scrutiny for offering no policy platform for Arizonans and declining interviews on pressing topics like water.
“I’m looking forward to making our case to Arizonans on the debate stage this evening and answering the tough questions about how a Biggs/Kerr administration will lead our state,” said Sine Kerr, Republican nominee for Lt. Governor of Arizona. “I can understand why John Giles would want to avoid talking about his failed effort to raise the sales tax 23% on Arizonans, but declining to debate in the first statewide election for this position is absolutely disgraceful. Arizonans deserve leaders who aren’t afraid to say where they stand.”
