“Tone deaf” post from Hobbs goes viral as Northern Arizona faces flood damage
GILBERT, AZ— A “tone deaf” post from Katie Hobbs has gone viral as Northern Arizona deals with damage from severe floods that impacted the area over the past weekend. With emergency crews still working to find and help Arizonans in rural parts of the state, Hobbs decided to share with followers on X her plans for a Monday morning hike:
Negative feedback was swift from Arizonans across the state, from Scottsdale City Councilman Adam Kwasman calling the post “insanely tone deaf” to even Hobbs’s supporters describing the post as “not a good look”.
The Grand Canyon Times’s roundup of the tasteless post included more Arizonans calling out Hobbs for her lack of decency.
