Katie Hobbs Refuses To Debate and Defend Her Terrible Record as Governor

Press Release

New video highlights Hobbs’s cowardice as empty podium while Biggs provides clear, optimistic vision for Arizonans

GILBERT, AZ— Katie Hobbs’s refusal to debate and defend her terrible policies is coming to the forefront of the Arizona gubernatorial election again as the Biggs/Kerr campaign released a full, 15-minute mock debate last evening, leading to the highest total of one-day impressions on X for the campaign during the general election.

The mock debate was released in advance of Tuesday night’s Arizona Citizens Clean Elections Commission Debate, which Andy Biggs will be participating in while Katie Hobbs again disrespects Arizonans who want to see a debate.

Reviews were positive for the 15-minute debate, with independent journalist Elvia Diaz saying “You’ve got to admit this mock debate is funny…” and conservative commentator Trey Terry stating “This is gold.”

Hobbs, who has refused to debate as her terrible economic record on job creation and affordability is impossible to defend, is the first major party Arizona gubernatorial candidate to refuse to debate in the general election since 1954. Arizona lost 4,100 jobs in the month of August under Hobbs and is the only state in the country with a major spike in fentanyl deaths over the past year.
