Biggs/Kerr Meets with Local Business Leaders in Nogales and Tucson as Early Voting Starts

Press Release

Campaign meets with local leaders as Arizona’s economy continues to suffer under Katie Hobbs, losing 4,100 jobs in August

GILBERT, AZ— The Biggs/Kerr for Arizona campaign traveled to Nogales and Tucson today to meet with local business leaders about their plan to Restore the American Dream in Arizona and bring jobs back to the state. Under Democrat Katie Hobbs, Arizona’s labor force is at its lowest participation rate in over a decade as the state lost 4,100 jobs in August 2026.

Before Biggs and Kerr made their way to Southern Arizona, Andy Biggs joined the Conservative Circus on KFYI to give a recap of last evening’s gubernatorial debate.

“In August, our state lost 4,100 jobs under Katie Hobbs as our labor force hit its lowest participation rate in over a decade,” said Andy Biggs in a post on X. “Katie Hobbs has vetoed tax cuts and refused to support small businesses, which is why we simply cannot afford four more years of her. If Arizonans want jobs to come back to our state, they need to vote for the Biggs/Kerr ticket.”

On Friday, the National Federation of Independent Businesses Arizona Chapter PAC endorsed the Biggs/Kerr ticket. The Biggs/Kerr campaign’s economic platform includes the following planks:

  • Make Arizona more competitive with other states and more affordable for Arizonans by eliminating the state income tax and working with local entities to reduce the property tax burden.
  • Reduce costs of new-home construction by streamlining state-level bureaucracy and working with local governments to lower permitting barriers.
  • Revitalize home construction in Arizona’s fastest growing communities by ending Katie Hobbs’s anti-homebuilding policies.
  • Bring down energy costs for Arizona businesses and families by pursuing reliable, affordable energy sources, including nuclear energy.
  • Lower fuel prices by reducing our dependency on California and increase the fuel supplied to Arizona from other sources.
  • Stop Wall Street from buying up homes and driving up housing costs.
  • Attract new businesses to Arizona by creating a favorable tax structure and promoting workforce development.
  • Repeal job-killing regulations and bureaucratic red tape that harm job creation.
  • End state incentives for data centers and establish standards that will protect Arizona water and energy.
