West Valley Republican commends Biggs’ steady leadership and commitment to working with the Legislature

GILBERT, AZ—Arizona State Senator Janae Shamp endorsed Rep. Andy Biggs for Governor of Arizona, giving the Biggs for Arizona campaign its 40th public endorsement from a current or former Arizona state legislator. Shamp, who represents Arizona’s 29th Legislative District which includes Surprise and Wittman in the West Valley of Maricopa County, commended Biggs’ record of steady leadership and noted the need for a Governor who has experience working with the State Legislature.

For the last three plus years, Arizona has been handicapped by a left-wing Governor with a fixation on killing good bills that would boost our economy, bring down prices, secure our neighborhoods, and improve our schools,” said Senator Shamp. We need a Governor who will work with the Legislature to do what is best for Arizona.  Andy Biggs will be that Governor.  As a former legislator, he respects the process and those of us elected to be a part of it, and he won’t play stupid partisan games.  We need steady leadership in Arizona.  We need Andy Biggs.

The new endorsement is just the latest sign of momentum for Biggs, who previously served two terms as Arizona Senate President in the Arizona Legislature. A recent poll showed Biggs winning the GOP gubernatorial primary by 42 points as he posted his largest fundraising quarter of the cycle while holding $1.1M cash on hand going into April.

Senator Shamp has been a strong voice for conservative policies and implementing the MAHA agenda at the State Capitol,” said Congressman Biggs. I’m looking forward to working with her as Governor to enact common-sense policies and help Arizona reach its full potential as a state.
