Successful two-term governor calls on all Arizonans to unite behind Biggs and the Republican ticket
GILBERT, AZ— Former Arizona Governor Doug Ducey endorsed Andy Biggs for Governor of Arizona, calling on all Arizonans to unite behind Biggs and the Republican ticket in November. Ducey joins former Governor Jan Brewer and Texas Governor Greg Abbott as state executives backing Biggs, who has the momentum in the race after selecting Sine Kerr to be Arizona’s first Lieutenant Governor.
Biggs is running in the general election against Katie Hobbs, the only Governor in America currently under criminal investigation for a pay-to-play scheme.
Governor Ducey offered the following statement in support of Andy Biggs and the Republican ticket:
“2026 is an important election for our state and our nation. I’ve spent much of my time in public service fighting for freedom and free enterprise. Today, there’s a starker contrast than I’ve ever seen in the public square between common sense and people running under the banner of Socialism and many other bad ideas.”
“I encourage everyone who has supported me over the years and cares about the future of Arizona to vote for our Republican ticket up and down the entire ballot, starting with Andy Biggs for Governor and Warren Petersen for Attorney General. Make sure to vote your whole ballot — the control of Congress and our Legislature is vital, and we need to win those races, too.”
“In the words of Ronald Reagan: ‘Freedom is a fragile thing and it’s never more than one generation away from extinction.’ Vote.”
Andy Biggs, Republican nominee for Governor of Arizona, offered the following statement:
“Under Governor Ducey’s leadership, Arizona became a magnet for Americans who wanted to live in a state with pro-growth, pro-free market, and pro-school choice principles. Our economy boomed, our state became safer, and our budget was structurally balanced when I worked as Senate President with Governor Ducey. He knows as well as anyone what it takes to lead our state to prosperity, and he also knows how badly Katie Hobbs has failed our state with her reckless incompetence. Sine Kerr and I are grateful to have Governor Ducey’s support and we look forward to getting our state back on track with strong, steady leadership.”
