Andy Biggs leads Republicans in new Arizona gubernatorial race poll: Political Power Ranker

(WHTM) – Congressman Andy Biggs (R) is the early favorite in the 2026 Arizona Republican gubernatorial primary, according to a new Emerson College Polling survey released Friday.

The poll found Biggs with 50% support, and 25% of voters were unsure ahead of the August 6, 2026, primary election.

Attorney Karrin Taylor Robson received 17% in the poll, and Congressman David Schweikert received 8%.

“Biggs holds 59% support among voters over 60 and 51% among those who backed Trump in 2024,” noted Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling.

In a hypothetical general election matchup, incumbent Governor Katie Hobbs (D) and Biggs are virtually tied, with Hobbs receiving 44% and Biggs finishing with 43%.
