Biggs continues to solidify support after historic primary victory, picks up nod from well-respected former Governor

GILBERT, AZ—Andy Biggs, the Republican nominee for Governor of Arizona after a historic primary victory, today received the endorsement of former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer. In his first term as Arizona Senate President in 2013-14, Biggs worked with Governor Brewer on conservative policies that helped the state’s economy boom after the Great Recession and on bringing real reforms to the agencies in charge of protecting Arizona’s children.

Arizona is in desperate need of a strong, steady leader as our state tries to climb out of the hole Katie Hobbs has recklessly led us into,” said Governor Brewer. I know Andy Biggs is the right man for the task and I urge every Arizonan to join me in supporting him. When Andy served as Senate President during my time as Governor, we had our disagreements but I always knew he deeply believed in his principles and wanted the best for every Arizonan. We worked together to get our state’s economy booming after the Great Recession and Andy has the experience to do it again. Andy Biggs is a problem solver and a leader. He will make a great Governor of Arizona.

Governor Brewer has been a great leader for the state of Arizona through her decades of public service,” said Biggs. “We were able to fix the major problems facing our state when we served together and bring our state’s economy back from the depths of the Great Recession. I’m grateful to have her support as we continue to unite the Republican Party and prepare to defeat Katie Hobbs, the only Governor in America currently under criminal investigation.

As the Republican nominee for Governor, Biggs is facing incumbent Governor Katie Hobbs, the only Governor in America currently under criminal investigation for an alleged pay-to-play scheme.
